Learning Aim A Scenario I have been employed by an independent film studio which is seeking financial backing for a large scale movie project. The investors need assurance that the visual planning of the movie will be highly effective and so you have  been given the task of preparing a visual report to demonstrate and evaluate the effectiveness of a range of storyboards across different production contexts. What is a Storyboard? A storyboard is a visual representation of what the film is expected to look like. Mood and Atmosphere The mood and atmosphere can be altered by the use of sound as it can make the audience feel a certain way as the audience will associate different moods with different sounds, this can be in fictional shows or non fictional shows. This video from Blue Planet is a great example of how the audiences mood and atmosphere as the clip starts off with some calm music that is relaxing as they watch the fish swim around. The music then changes to a faster paced beat which indicates to the audience that something bad may happen which it does. This scene of Mufasas death in The Lion King is a great example of how mood and atmosphere can be altered in a fictional film as the sad, mellow music that they have used makes the audience feel sorry and sad.
